Re: Holocaust Museum Shooting
I had jury duty Monday thru Wednesday. I was instructed by the judge in the case not to watch any local news/stations. Just to be safe, I avoided all local channels and only watched things like TLC, Bravo, Oxygen. My DH and I went out to dinner last night...I needed a drink and to decompress from the stress of the trial. That was the first time I had seen any news. (We went to eat at a bar and they had the local news on one of the TV's.)
My heart just breaks for the security guard's family and for the Jewish community as a whole. It is terrible that in this day and age, there is still racism. Maybe I am naive, in that, I think people should just accept that we are all different and just because one person has a belief about something, it does not make it right or wrong. My thoughts and prayers are with all those involved.
