s/o Childhood bedroom post
I'm always kind of amazed when people still have their childhood bedroom to go back to. A friend of mine had to have the contents of her room shipped to her in another province last year when her parents downsized. I couldn't believe she hadn't done this years before.
How many of you still have a little "shrine" of sorts waiting for you when you visit the parents?
A: My youngest sister had taken over my old bedroom a mere 5 hours after I moved out.
My DH still has a shrine waiting for him at his parents house complete with old posters taped to the walls.

Re: s/o Childhood bedroom post
No childhood bedroom for me. Hard to say I even had one *while* I was a child, because we moved so frequently. My Mom and Stepdad retired while I was in grad school and moved to another town, so the house they're in is somewhere I've never actually lived.
That said, they do have lots of my books from university (which annoys them, but they've got waaay more storage space than do we!), and Jakob's currently playing with some of *my* childhood toys!
No shrine for me... my mom lives with us in and in-law suite!!
P.S. Jenna I sent you a Facebook message, check it out!!

Nope - cleared out my room when I moved out after university...even took the furniture LOL
My old room stayed the same for about 1.5 years after I was married.
Then my brother asked if he could have my room (it was way bigger and I had reno'd it a few years before). So he moved all my crap into his room and his stuff into mine.
So when I do stay at my mom's, I stay in my brother's room with all my stuff in it. It's kind of weird!
