Can I make a petty vent?

I told a friend I am pregnant. I thought it would hurt her feelings if she didn't find out until we told the masses, so I told her this week.  Well, I had a feeling that she had told a mutual friend (I guess I'll call her that even though I don't like her). About a day after I told my friend, mutual friend started commenting on my facebook (thinly veiled pg comments) and she has never commented on my page before.

I asked my friend, and sure enough it apparently "slipped" in conversation. I guess I can understand it slipping out but I am seriously M-A-D. Couldn't she at least have told someone I like!? She knows I don't even like this girl.

I am trying to be fair to my friend and understand it was an accident and it slipped out, but I am still so so annoyed.

Re: Can I make a petty vent?

  • I can understand you wanting to share the news with only close friends and family right now. We were like that too. One of my friends told one of our cw's about me. I didn't appreciate that, but I knew this person would have eventually found out anyway. Just be sure to make it clear to people that you are not ready to share the news with everyone yet. If they know how important it is to you maybe they'll be more careful about letting it "slip."

  • I did tell her that we weren't ready to announce it to the world yet but we were telling a select group of people Sad
  • Sounds like she wanted to feel special and told.

    Sorry!!

    Sorry!!

I think Sharra is right then.

  • I agree with Sharra, some people unfortunately cant keep their mouth shut and want to make other people's stories about them...I'm sorry she did that
  • I completely understand where your coming from.  It happened to me, too. It is your news to share, and you should be able to share that great news to whoever you want when you are ready.
  • People can be so inconsiderate. ?I am sorry. ?:(

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
