Re: TGIF
Ugh, can't agree with you one bit. LOL It was slow and boring so it went slowly.
TGIF! The sun is finally out today and I am working from home so it's a good day. I just hope the trees can get planted today if the ground isn't too wet.
What kind of trees are you planting?
When our house was built, the city had a rule that you must plant a new tree. So the builder planted a tree. It wasn't until this year that I realized it's going to be a huge ass tree. You know the one's that have those annoying helicopter like seeds.
I called DH at work yesterday and said that I don't care what he says but I'm uprooting that tree. I don't want a 100 foot tree infront of the house and of course all the potential foundation and plumbing problems the roots can cause.
Seriously, why plant a huge ass tree and not a cute little flowering one? If I knew that, I would have paid for a more expensive tree (DH's cousin built the house, you think he would have asked what kind of tree we wanted).
We are having a birch planted in the backyard (they get upto 25-35 ft.) and some other shrubs around it. They are building a berm in one corner of the yard.
My mom has those helicopter trees in her backyard, I think it's maple. I wouldn't want one if the front yard either, it'll eventually start covering the house...maybe you can transplant it to the backyard if their is enough room.
I don't check in until 8PM
No, we already basically have a tree back there and had to cut one down when we started building. Maybe I'll ask the city if they want it.
I feel bad about getting rid of it but at the same time, they are a PITA.
Don't feel bad as long as it gets planted somewhere else. The helicopters are a beeotch. I would never want one just because they would get all in our pool.
