bridal shower : do I need to do anything else?
Finally, the bridal shower that I am hosting is this weekend! It's at a local place and they are taking care of the appetizers, main course, dessert, and wine.
The bride doesn't want any shower games and she probably won't be opening presents since they weren't on the invites and she made it clear she didn't want to travel back to Seattle with them.
I was going to get some sunflowers to decorate the place a bit, it's Tuscan villa in style.
Anything else I need to bring:??
Are we going to be occupied enough for 3 hours eating?
Re: bridal shower : do I need to do anything else?
Some kind of guestbook maybe? Or some of those cards people write advice to the bride that you can put in a book or a jar for her?
Make sure you're prepared with a notepad and pen just in case people do bring gifts ( I probably would if I was invited to a shower... ) so you can write down who gave her what for her thank you notes.
If the invitees don't know each other very well, maybe get some of those coasters or place cards that have conversation starter questions on them - or make your own with questions like "how did you meet the bride?" just to get people talking in a way that is not a game.
It sounds like a really lovely shower!
I agree with the pen and pad in case gifts do come in, the venue will have plastic trash bag for gift trash, I'm assuming...I think that's it! Have fun!
