Re: nightmarish flashbacks
With all the neon colors, leggings, hairbows, side ponytails, Flashdance necklines, vests over t-shirts and belted oversize shirts I saw yesterday, I felt like my 7th grade closet was slapping me in the face at every turn. I know that 80s styles are back in force with today's teens, but I had no idea how much so until I saw hundreds of them congregated in one area.
Since I had to wear a uniform in elementary school, my crimes of fashion were limited in the 80s. I was a huge 90s offender though.
Oh the horror. All my "aunts" and older brothers girlfriends kept wanting to do my hair and buy me outfits. It was a living breathing cabbage patch kid.
There's many a polariod photo of me at 5 years old with an afromullet, white cowboy boots, and pink bedazzled jackets w/ fringe.
