My dad's wife has requested to be a friend. We have never been close. In fact, she has been on my naughty list for most of my life. (And check out my wedding family photos for a real giggle at what she chose to wear. Oy.) Lately, I have been ambivalent. I can't ignore this one. Curiously, she is friends with my brothers, but not my sister. Hmmm. Maybe I will ask my sister about this. Or just put her on a limited view.
Very interesting....
Re: A FB quandary
I would vote to ignore and not 'friend' her.
oh..that outfit. sigh.
I would probably do the limited profile like Kocal says, but you should go with you gut. Just ignore her if you really don't want her to be part of your life.
I second Mrs. Kocal's idea.

<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home DI would consider ignoring her. Then if she asks, you can say that you never get on facebook, don't have time, etc.
Alternatively, you can friend her, and then "un-friend" her later, she won't know and you can claim ignorance then.
do you have your mom, dad, or ILs as a friend? if not, i would say that you just don't have any parental figures as friends. and if she's the first to be on fb, stick with that.?
i have my MIL as my friend but i love her. i am very glad that my FIL and SILs haven't tried to friend me as i've no interest in adding them and i can't really say no when i've got my MIL as a friend . . . ?
