Yippee, he took a bath!

The plan was to give J a bath, sitting in the big plastic storage container, actually in the tub. Then, I found a nifty bath toy and spent the $20 on it. So tonight I went upstairs, ran his bath, and had the toy floating in the water before I went back downstairs and got him. All the way up, he said he didn't want a bath, but couldn't resist peeking when I told him there was a new toy. When he saw it, he was transfixed! He let me peel of his clothes, and when I asked him if he wanted in, he said yes. He had a great bath, squeaky clean now, and was fine with the whole thing.

I think you guys might be on to something with the drain. When he got out, he covered his ears, which makes me think maybe he doesn't even like the sound of the water going down this particular drain.

PS - this is the toy. The mat floats (which reminds me of the floating massage, sigh...), and so do the vehicles.

Re: Yippee, he took a bath!

  • Coolest toy ever!  Glad it worked.
  • Hooray for success!

And that toy is SO awesome

  • How cool, where did you get it?

I am having a problem with Alex standing in the bath (ie: through the whole bath), so I am looking for some toys that will encourage him to sit.

  • where did you buy this? it seems like a great toy - or present.

    glad he got clean :)

  • The toy brand is Alex (Gabriella, how appropriate could that be?), and I bought it at an independent toy store. I know Chapters has the same brand (at least online), and I've seen Alex toys in independent stores in Toronto. Not sure whether TRU, etc., carries them, but might be worth checking. Gabriella, Jakob still likes to stand up during his bath (which means he doesn't get bath crayons quite so often now), but he didn't move at all during tonight's bath, so maybe this toy would help?
