This was awesome because I made it Saturday night and I just had to pop it in the oven on Sunday morning! My guests thought it was very tasty!!!

I did make a few modification due to my preferences and also I did a trial last weekend:
- Instead of brocolli, I used thinly sliced mushrooms (about 6-8 was enough for a layer)
- Instead of 6 slices bread each on top and bottom, I used 8 on bottom and 6 on top (absorbed the liquid better)
- Instead of 3 cups milk I used about 2 1/2 (with the mushrooms it was really liquidy with 3 cups milk)
- Instead of an onion I used about a tsp of 1-2 onion powder (I'm not a big fan of onions)
- I added a few sprinkles of romano cheese in addition to the cheddar (some zip)
- I forgot to butter the pan yesterday and it still came out no problem (I used a glass dish)
- Instead of baking for 1 hour, it was 1 hr 20 minutes, probably due to the mushrooms/liquid
