Teething question

What does cut a tooth mean? DD's two bottom teeth are visible but only a little. I can feel the sharp top edges of the teeth but they don't look like actual full size teeth.

So has she "cut a tooth" then? I imagine if I can feel the tooth then the worst pain for that particular tooth is over. Oh, God, I hope so!

Re: Teething question

  • Yeah, I'd say she's cut those teeth.  I think the expression comes from the tooth cutting through the gums.  Yay Sammy!
  • if the sharp part is out of the gum, then she's cut them!

Nice work, Sammy! Wanna teach my peanut how to cut those teeth? She is having such a hard time!
