1 year gift ideas?

Are you ladies doing anything for your DH for your 1 year? We are planning on probably going to a B&B overnight and having dinner for our celebration, but i also know he's planning some "surprise for me" so i have no idea what to get him. I know that year one is "paper"

any great ideas that you are doing? I was trying to find fun tickets but can't find anything going on we'd want to go to.

    I'm so glad you posted this! I was just wondering the same thing.  I was thinking of making a scrapbook of our first year together.  But dear me - thats going to be a lot of work!  I wonder what other ideas are there? =)  I can't believe its almost a year!

    We're going to a cabin for a few days...no ideas for gifts yet though!

    Because we are expecting, we decided to buy ourselves a nice video camera for our anniversary.  It's not very romantic, but it will come in handy once our little girl arrives!

    we're doing couples boudoir pics (to fill out the rest of the photo album of boudoir pics I gave him as a wedding present) and then we're going out for dinner and a movie, so nothing too spectacular.

    Crystal: I thought of doing boudoir pics too, but i doubt he'd go for couples, i would have NEVER thought of that! I just wish i would have thought of the pics in time. But i'm thinking now i have a good half a year to get myself into better shape to do the pics for a 2nd anniversary present

    Since DH is originally from NY, I got him tickets to a Mets game the weekend of our anniversary. He had been talking about it for a while, wanting to go see them play at the new stadium. Now I'm just trying to figure out a way to get him there so it will be a surprise.

    If you remember...B & I got married in May of 2007 before he deployed and then had the family gathering/vow renewal last July.  For our first anniversary last year I got him "paper"---tickets to see Linkin Park.  He loves them but was always out to sea when they came to town.  We had a blast at the concert, too!

    This year was cotton and I got him boxing lessons (including the t-shirt...cotton).  I don't know as I'll always follow the traditional gifts, but it's kind of fun.
