Exciting news...
I'm pregnant!!!
DH and I are expecting our little one on January 11, 2009. We had the first ultrasound last week, saw the strong heartbeat and got a great picture. We are so, so excited!!!
(***Please don't mention on Facebook - we're not going to post there for another week or two until we've told more of our friends in person...thanks!!!)

YAY!!!!!!!!! Congrats to you both. I just saw your ticker in another post and thought I must have missed the happy announcement last week. But, low and behold you have just posted it now. How long have you known?
My sister is actually expecting in January as well. As I see her get further along, I will think of you as well! (I think her official due date is January 6th)

Congrats!! I dont post much, but I just wanted to say congrats. How did your families react?? I cant wait until DH and I are pregnant and we get to tell our families. Their reactions will be something I will always remember!!
Oh Jen, this so SO wonderful! Were you able to tell DH's family while you were in Greece? You must be so so happy! Congratulations!! What have your family's reactions been???

Yes, we've told all family now, including family in Greece, and are just starting to tell friends this week (the reason for the no FB request). The responses have all been great! Everyone is very excited. We've been having a mini-baby boom in our family so, our news is already following a happy trend - our baby will be the 5th in just over three years among the cousins on my side.

How have you been feeling thus far? Morning sickness?
I've been feeling very well, actually, and know I am very lucky! Only one episode of morning sicknes very early on and a little mild nausea here and there. Other than being tired all the time, I feel great!

Thats great! I only got sick once and it was from eating hot wings not even morning sickness. You will begin to get your energy back soon, it usually starts to come back during your second tri, atleast it did for me.

And, you're almost done with the first trimester, which many say is the worst (as far as the old morning sickness goes). And even better, you won't be ginormously preggers during the hot summer, which would suck. So, are you going to find out if it's a boy or girl before you have the baby, or do you guys want to be surprised???

Thanks Renea! Yes, I'm very happy that it will be cooler out by the time I am huge. We definitely want to know out the gender. If the little one cooperates, we'll find out at the end of August during my 20 week anatomy scan :-)
