The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
Has anyone else watched this movie? I thought it was sad, but it was also interesting to see the war through the perspective of a very sheltered child. I would recommend it if you are looking for a good watch.
Re: The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
really liked this movie. I didn't know much about it going in and after seeing so many holocaust movies I was sort of rolling my eyes a bit (I wasn't in the mood for something so heavy in the morning) then as I watched and realized it was from the young boys perspective (which I'd never seen before) I was really interested in it.
meant to read the book but haven't done that yet. will have to add it to my list.
I agree it was fantastic. I also loved that instead of the usual showing "The Jews" as a collective. By the end, you really get a sense of each as an individual.
That said, whenit was over. I sat in stunned silence on my couch starring at the screen for probably about 20 minutes.
