So H and I woke up this morning to no digital phone, and no internet connection. Called TW, went through the self-help steps, but it won't work. The CSR told me they can't send anyone out during the evenings, so we can't get anything fixed until next Saturday. Grrrrr....
This is about he 3rd time this has happened, and we're actually fed up with TW at this point.
Does anyone have one of the Verizon bundles and, if so, how has the service been? It looks like we could save $30 a month or so (for the same three services) by switching, but if we're just going to get the same crappy service we're getting w/ TW, it's probably not worth it.

Re: TW Cable vs. Verizon
we have TW for cable, verizon for internet b/c when we wanted to switch for cable and internet, Fios wasn't serving our area. we've been happy with verizon for internet. since we're most likely moving next year, we're just going to suck it up and deal with TW while we're here but will happily not be keeping them in the future.?
HTH!?
We have verizon for phone, dsl, & tv. They bundle with directv and we've had no troubles since making the switch from cablevision for all 3.?
If you can get fios in your area, I would go with that. The service is much faster. ?
We originally had TW for 2 1/2 years for everything and were very disappointed.
The TV cable box would freeze while watching movies and we would have to reboot it for it to update itself a real big PIA. We were paying alot of money because we needed the upgraded internet and we would have to reboot that at least every other day and we were constantly getting knocked off out game that we play - HORRIBLE and the whole NO PHONE thing during power and cable outages just sucks.
As soon as Verizon was available we switched over and it has been awesome. We can run 2 comps and a laptop with no slowing on the internet. No problem with the phones or digital airiness. And although it takes a bit to load sometimes, the cable has been just great - no problems at all.
The only down side to not having TW is no NY1 and no MSG HD. If you don't care about that then you are golden!
New question, then.
We live on the UWS, in an older building, so I doubt we'll be getting FiOS anytime soon, if ever (boo!). Still worth the switch?
