We have a toaster oven at the office. A CW was making toast, so I just slipped mine in beneath hers. She comes over a pitches a fit because "it changes the heat and I know how long it takes when just mine is in there and it's going to burn" blah blah blah. This lady is annoying anyways, but come on! It's toast. You're standing right there. If it gets dark, hell, just take it OUT!!!! UGH!
Re: So annoyed
<whispering> I am that lady in my office.
D! It's toast! You would really get that pissy about toast?!
Signed,
The girl that cringes everytime some puts fish in the microwave, but somehow holds her tongue enough not to say anything.
i can't put my finger on it, d, but for some reason i'm just not surprised by this.

We have signs up by our microwaves specifically telling people NOT to warm up fish but does that stop people...nooo! So annoying!
This is why I don't bring tuna fish or anything smelly to the office. I hate to be "that" CW.
I know exactly where the knob goes for my toast to be perfect and I hate it when my cw'ers stick something else in there on the bottom. I mean really, there are less than 10 of us in this office, it wouldn't kill them to wait a few minutes!
It totally messes up my toast and I am very particular about that (english muffins, bagels, bread slices, etc.). So what I do is if this happens, I toss my bread into the trash and start over with a new slice. God help them if I don't have another piece to toast.
I can't believe you actually throw the bread away.
In the great tradition of The Knot, I'm going to say it.
D, I feel sorry for your co-workers.
Over toast? Really?
I'll admit I used to get irritated when folks would warm up fish, burn popcorn, or cook eggs in our company microwave but those were smells that would permeate the building for an entire day. This is toast.
There used to be signs by the microwave that say not to cook fish. One of the salemen started heating up tuna. "It's not fish. It's tuna."
He is the butt of many jokes.
