Frustrated!

I'm trying to find a dining shelter for when we go camping and I can only find things at Canadian Tire and Bass Pro (have tried MEC, walmart)... .the selection is limited. We have one, but I hate it, it's old a yucky.

Part of me thinks I should suck it up b/c it's only a few days and I doubt we'll be out with little baby camping next year... I wish I had friends who camped like we did and had this stuff!

Have you been to a Giant Tiger lately.  I'm pretty sure they had one last year and it wasn't very expensive.
  • check the sears catalogue? The whole thing is online. I remember they used to be in there. Here's a link straight to the camping shelters:

  • Sorry..those are the places I would have gone to too!

We have one and it's old and takes forever to set up [tons or metal bars] but it's so sturdy!!

We're thinking of using my parents pop-up trailer this year {and next} it's easier when the baby comes along! And yes I'll be camping with a baby..My first time camping ever I was 3 months old - I'm very comfortable with it!!

  • If I lived closer, I would give you ours! We bought it 4 years ago and it is still sitting (unopened) in the box.
  • We have a crap load of stuff if you ever need to borrow anything.

Years ago I bought my friend Tanya a kick ass dining shelter for her wedding. (the one they had previously was nn'd the divorcer). I got it at a camping store in downtown burlington. There is also a good outdoors store in Oakville (right off the QEW at Trafalgar).

    What about something like this

  • if we had one, you know you'd be able to use it anytime... but we don't. I'll check with my mom if she has one. I'll get back to you on that one.

I figured you guys were too hard core to have a dining shelter :)
