Vent: It's like Ricki Lake in my own front yard.
I have some neighbors who don't have enough assigned parking spaces under the building so they like to park in the driveway. They block the sidewalk and the fire lane, and sometimes their vehicles are so large they block all of us from entering and exiting our garage.
My downstairs neighbor is the biggest violator, and yet she's the first one to pitch a fit when someone else parks there. The second biggest violator is a set of women who like to pound on her door at all hours of the night screaming at the top of their lungs.
About a month ago, two of the women got into a fist fight in my front yard. Finally, the larger of the two women gave up, got her keys, proceeded to block in the other car by parking behind it, with the end of her car blocking the street. I gave up watching from my balcony because it was late.
So today one of the chicks sees a car in the driveway and jumps on the hood and the roof and starts jumping. I heard a noise and went to my balcony to see her doing this. Of course I want to call the cops, but quite frankly I'm afraid of this woman. Our landlords won't respond to our complaints about these people, and when the cops have shown up in the past they get here too late and just have parking enforcement issue a ticket.
I really want to call the cops on this evil woman, but at the same time I kind of feel like the person who parked there deserved it. I won't risk my own safety but I hate being a witness to a crime and not doing anything about it.
I hate my neighbors. They're low grade trash.

I just put a sign up by the mailboxes saying "Do not park in the driveway, it is a fire hazard. You will be towed"
Now I just need to find out from LAPD if I can have these people towed legally without our slumloards involvement. I figure if they're blocking a fire lane it must be a fire hazard?
I live in West L.A. The neighborhood has gone downhill since we moved in. We're going to move as soon as possible.
I called LAPD and LA Parking enforcement. They gave me a number to call and report these folks to. Hopefully they'll all be towed and I won't see anyone at each others throats. The best part is I can report them anonymously. I should have called months ago!
Yep. No notice to the vehicle owner is required if it's parked in a fire lane.
