So sad... but need a hand.
Hey girls, I haven't posted here much, but I though maybe someone might be able to help me. DH and I have been having major blowouts about this lately, and long story short, I have agreed to find new homes for our 3 furbabies (pics in my bio).
If anyone is looking to adopt a kitty or a couple of kitties, I'd appreciate a shout. I really want to avoid taking them to the Humane League (I don't trust them even though I've adopted from them) or any other shelter for that matter. They're all fixed, declawed and healthy. I have tons of stuff I'll need to get rid of as well (litter boxes, a kitty condo, etc) if anyone might be interested. You can email me at imklroy at ptd dot net.

Can I ask what issues your cats have been causing between you and your DH? Since it sounds like you don't want to get rid of them and he does, maybe if we know what the problem is, we could come up with something that would make you, your DH, and your kitties happy.
I'm sure I don't have to tell you that their chances at a shelter are slim. With all the adorable kittens in shelters that people can choose, more adult cats are put down than adopted out. And, no offense, but I doubt you'll find many people who want to adopt cats from a stranger on a message board especially when the cats have been causing marital problems. If you let us know what the problem is, maybe we can come up with a solution other than rehoming them.
If you aren't able to resolve the problem, please do not list on Craigs list or give them to humane league. A rescue is your best bet other than finding friends that are willing to take them in. I will tell you that it is already kitten season so all resources are going to be difficult to find who are willing to take in the furbabies.
As pp said, maybe we can find a way to resolve the issues your Dh has with the kitties. Many of us have kitties and have various issues over their lifespan. Perhaps can can figure out something together.
