Oh my gosh - Anya is my favorite!!! She's just GORGEOUS!! Denali looks funny - his ears are SO BIG. LOL He's a very handsome boy, even if he does look a bit comical right now. LOL (I laugh because I remember that stage with Xena - skinny, but these ENORMOUS ears.)
But I think it's Anya's eyes and coloring that get me - her eyes are so striking! (Denali has eyes like Xena.)
Since you like Anya so much, here she is smiling:
It's funny for me to look at their pictures, Mandy, because it reminds me of things I've forgotten - like JUST HOW SKINNY they are as puppies. LOL And HOW BIG their ears are when they haven't grown into them.
Xena has "tufts" - do you think they'll get them or might that be a trait of her unpedigreed background? (Okay, so that's a nice way of saying her momma was a slut and she's got at least 3 breeds in her. LOL) It's more noticeable when I look at Anya & Denali, but Xena's got the scruffs around the sides of her face and now that she's fully grown on the backs of her legs (which I've definitely seen other Shepherds have.)
ETA: I'm going to have to show these pics of Denali to Greg. We'd always thought Xena had the Border Collie eyes (since we've never seen another Shepherd with brown eyes, but they all have glowing gold eyes like Anya). But hers are just like Denali's - right down to that insane, sharp focus.

I love how nicely you say that Xena's momma was a slut. I don't know anything about "tufts"....I'm still trying to figure these puppies out! haha.
In some pics, Denali's eyes have the gold look but in others (like that one) they look so brown. I have an album on shutterfly with a TON of pics of them. I can email it to you so you can show Greg.
ADORABLE!!!! I want to rub both of their bellies.
Kristi: We only got one to begin with. But about a month after we got him, we found out there was a GSD that had been abandoned at the animal shelter and they needed someone to rescue him. So we got that one too! The cats aren't around them much anymore - when the little one was inside they were with him a lot more but now the dogs are outside and the cats are inside. The cats were starting to really like the little one and play with him but we had to move him outside (since that was our plan to being with).
So, would it be really weird of me to get those three pics blown up to like 5*7 and put them in a frame? Those are the best three we have of them so far.
HAHA..somehow I doubt the two cats will stay still long enough with the two dogs within biting distance...It would be a bloodbath!
