Get Well Gift Ideas

My Mom just had knee surgery yesterday and I'm going to see her on Friday--I wanted to bring a get-well gift..I guess flowers are always a safe bet..I wanted to get a Clever Cookie basket but she is diabetic so that doesn't work..Any creative ideas besides flowers?

Re: Get Well Gift Ideas

  • Nice fresh cherries or grapes to snack on.

Magazines rolled up with ribbons, in a basket with a paperback or two. Maybe a SODUKU or word find/puzzle book?

Something that smells nice- scented body lotion?

A new pair of PJ's or loungewear type clothes.

  • Is she going to be at home? I would try to think of something that might come in handy. A throw blanket, will she need something to prop her leg up on?, a couple good books or magazines.

  • I love these ideas, thanks guys!

  • It's the cliche, but when my neighbor delivered it when I was ill earlier this spring, it was so touching: homemade chicken soup (this one had matz balls in it too: added bonus!). If you cook, that could be a cute idea.
  • What about an Edible Arrangement?  I love those!
