Nestie Healthy Gals Check In!

How's it going this past week?

Any bumps in the road towards progress??

Re: Nestie Healthy Gals Check In!

  • Last week I basically didn't work out, huge bump in the road! I went to my brother's graduation, a jack & jill and then hosted a shower so I also ate way too much! I think gaining a couple pounds last week was enough motivation to get me to work out this week!

I went swimming Monday, running yesterday and swimming again today! Hopefully I can keep it up!! I am also trying to eat better after eating so much junk last week!

  • I haven't had a "run" in over a week, which makes me sad, b/c my goal is to run 3-4 times a week. Been really busy with dance stuff, so not much time for my own workouts.

I think I've been making good choices regarding what I'm eating lately.

  • I fell off the wagon a few weeks ago.  I have currently regained all 10 pounds that I lost.

I have set a walking date with my gf starting next wek for twice a week.  I also have all my exercise videos at home ready to go, I just need to get DH out of the house so I can do them.

Hopefully this will get me back on track.

I'm just currently looking for meal plans as I find thinking about what to make at night stresses me out and then we just head for take out.

  • I'm sticking with these even though I'm on the healthy gaining side vs the losing side :) They are good for me to keep in check.

So far I am doing really well - I have only gained 7 pounds throughout the pregnancy which is great for me. I think it has alot to do with the fact that my eating habits have completely changed. I'm working harder at eating the right foods and not eating junk just becuase I can. I'm trying to stay active, but it's getting hard as I'm tiring a little easier than I did (I know it's going to get worse). I'm trying to park further at work, take the stairs etc. I really want to get back on my elipitcal, but I am just so tired after work it's hard.. it's my July goal to get on it three times a week though.

  • I'm doing okay. Now that my class is done I am back to walking to/from the train to work (about 1 hr each day) which is good excercise (and so much nicer than the subway). The rain got in the way of it this afternoon, but aside from the rain it's a nice walk.

I'm also back on to meal planning which makes me happy. So much easier to have a good dinner this way.

And we made my most favourite carb free dinner the other night - salmon cooked with aspargus wrapped in pancetta, also cooked with cherry tomatoes and green olives. So delicous. I am really hoping to get back into the meal planning habit as we have a lot of cottage type weekends coming up and those never seem to be as healthy as during the week!

  • The past week has been pretty good, I managed to work out every day last week, and took Monday off this week but will probably manage a work-out every other day.

Food has been my enemy a bit in the past week. I made cupcakes last Monday and despite my best efforts to hand them out, have been hanging around. I bought chips at work yesterday too, which was bad, because I have portion issues with them.
