I went to the the podiatist today since the arch of my foot has been hurting for a month! She diagnosed me with something i can't pronouce and ruined my summer!!
Sneakers with a $50 arch insert and NO FLIP FLOPS!!! I HATE SOCKS!!!
Oh well-- at least I still have a foot and can walk I guess, but did I mention I HATE SOCKS!!!
Have a great day!!!
Re: sooooo bummed!!!!
TTC since Jan 07. Dx with PCOS Jan 08
Oh no!! My sister is only supposed to wear sneakers and had to have special inserts made for her shoes.
It's not permanent is it??
OMG Do you even own sneakers Ange? J/K...I'm just not sure I've ever seen you in sneakers especially in the summer. That really sucks. Is it plantar fascitis?
If it makes you feel any better I got bit Sunday night on my right ankle and realized today that my ankle and foot are swollen up because I'm having an allergic reaction to whatever bit me...5 times. I have 5 bites around my ankle bone.
That's it Jen --- I went to inside track tonight to get the inserts!! Yes - i do own sneakers!! If the snekers don't work, cortizone shots are next ---- I have to ice it 3 times a day and take advil and do some crazy stretches!!!
What bit you? I hope you are ok!!
Ugh...that sucks
I had problems with that in my right foot intermittently about 4 years ago but lucky for me (knock on wood) I got inserts right away for my sneakers and then haven't had problems since.
You and I could be a matched set...I'm taking naproxen at regular intervals, ice, and slathering my foot/ankle in hydrocortisone cream every 3 hours. So fun. I have no idea what bit me but I'm hoping it subsides in the next few days. Otherwise I'll have to go to the doc and get antiobiotics or an injection.
Make sure you do those stretches faithfully...I've had cortisone injected into my ankle and while its not the worst thing its not fun either. Hope you start getting some relief soon!!!
