the job is slow and it makes the short four hours feel like eight.
the boss just gave me a super easy assignment and i'm blazing through it, but i just made myself slow the eff down to make it last longer. and, i confess that i don't really want her to know just how quickly i can bust through shit_like this.

I'm sitting in the airport, waiting for my flight home. my back is in massive pain so I sat in brookstone for 20 min using this thing - and I'm such a sucker that I ended up buying one.
but it's so kickass - it's like having a real massage!
I'm already dreading a meeting I have at noon....

I have been avoiding work by reading the #iranelection stuff on twitter. Intense!
books are ALWAYS good. the bean loves hers. stick to board books, and pick a bunch by sandra boynton - those are big hits. goodnight moon, pat the bunny, the very hungry caterpillar. a lot of them come in gift sets with corresponding toys/stuffed animals, and as a parent, i really appreciated these vs. toys (although those are good too).
I am about to keel over and die.
Six people have noted, "You don't look well."
Two people have noted on the phone, "Wow, you sound terrible."
Meanwhile, one client doesn't care and continues to breathe down my neck for answers. I have been reading the same sentence seven times.
i can't believe you went in to work.
I had no choice. I got so many e-mails yesterday, and nobody else knows this project like I do. Decisions must be made today. By me. And only me. I am the last word.
