*My first u/s is this afternoon and I am super excited!
* We are going to officially announce that I am pregnant on Monday and I cannot wait! It is hard to keep it a secret! (We are waiting until Monday because one of my aunts is going to be coming to town then and I want to tell her in person, and because everyone in my family has a big mouth if we tell before then she would know)
How exciting! I'm sure that is a hard secret to keep.
* We got tickets to Ben Folds. He'll be performing with the DSO. I absolutely cannot wait!!!
* The day after we see Ben Folds, we're driving down to Austin for ACL. I will finally get to see the Beastie Boys, who I've wanted to see forever and ever.
today is the last day for a lot of my co-workers... and i am feeling super guilty that i still have a job, and they don't. i am the newest to the team, and one of the few that is keeping their jobs...
i mean i have worked my you-know-what off and i deserve the job... but i still feel incredibly guilty...
*Our covered back patio was finished last Friday! DH and I had discussed and briefly looked at some misting systems online. Last night, after I got back from Colby's baseball practice, I came home to find that he had bought and installed a misting system.
That is so sweet!

Laura -- you'll be in my 'hood! OB is about a 50 minute drive from my house.
My AW -- I got to hear my baby's heartbeat yesterday and it was awesome! I was disappointed that we didn't get to do an u/s, but the heartbeat was still amazing. Can't wait to find out the gender! Only 4 more weeks...
You & Jamie need to drive down and meet us! lol
OMG you know what I'm really excited about? Eating at Pirates Cove. That place is such a shack, but has the BEST burgers I've ever had in my life.
BTW, I'm SO excited & happy for yall.

I'm on day 11 of South Beach and have last 6 pounds so far.
Only 3 more weeks til our Gulf Shores vacation. Can't wait!!!
I am done with this term of classes! *whew*
had my midyear review today and it went well
DH and I ripped out this crazy over grown garden thing by our deck from the previous owners. We are laying stone there and having a smallconversation/fire pit area and this weekend we are going to try to finish it up plus try our hand at paining... and maybe finally replacing the horrible giant polished brass chandelier in our dining room...maybe.
* I think I saw a real smile yesterday from my 7 week old.
* He has some head control now - like he can hold his head up for about 30 seconds (I am right there if he needs support though)
* I am blessed to have a great baby! He is so good and only cries when he is hungry or bored. He never really spits, he is a breastfeeding champ, and he will go to bed at night awake and can fall asleep on his own. Now to just master sleeping through the night but we are up to 5-6 hours so that is pretty good.
*We have been so blessed this year, healthy happy baby, great jobs and both DH and I have received promotions, I got to take off 14 weeks with my LO, my mother is moving here to watch LO when I got back to work, and I could go on and on. I often feel guilty of our blessings when I hear of stories of m/c, job loss, etc
We are thinking about going too! The Beastie Boys were on 30 Rock and I thought they were looking kinda old so we decided we better see them soon if we are going to see them!

Haha! I know I want to see them before *I* die. I've heard they are absolutely amazing to see live. We got a 1-day pass for Friday since that's when most of the acts we care to see are performing. I've never been to ACL, so I'm really looking forward to the experience.
