I had a really sucky day at work
I will spare you all the details. It involved me crying more than once. I must be really hormonal because I don't normally react that way. Thankfully, DH picked me up at work and we had productive trips to BBB and Costco.
I really think I need to take up a relaxing hobby like yoga or knitting. Can anyone advise?
Re: I had a really sucky day at work
i'm sorry you had a sh*te day amy
glad you got to have some retail therapy - always helps me!?
i miss my astoria gym for rebounding classes that was the best way to de-stress (and it burned a lot of calories to boot) ?
Boo about the bad day.
I've taken yoga a few times and it's really nice and you just walk out of there a different person.
But i also *love* knitting! Such a great way to let your mind roam. I'll even teach you!

I actually do know how to knit. Sort of. I am just very, very rusty. I would love to have a little knitting GTG though. That would be fun. I would need to buy some supplies. I've only used my mom's.
I hope today is a much better day for you! At least the sun is out finally!!
I love yoga - its very restorative, relaxing. There are a lot of different 'types/styles'. but even just doing a few basic moves at home (child's pose, downward dog, warrior, etc) and deep breathing can be relaxing and helpful. I know there are a lot of places around the city where you can do yoga. Yoga for the People is a very cheap option - I think you can attend a class for about $2-5.
Hey Amy, Sorry your day was so crappy. At least you are almost done for the year! I have been going to acupuncture for over two years and it has dramatically decreased my stress/anxiety levels. Let me know if you'd like the name of my acupuncture therapist. She is wonderful!
I have just the cure for you!! My mixed level restorative classes at Levitate yoga (shamless plug, I know
, but you did ask) Friday at 6:45 and Sundays at 4pm.
Although I'm OOT this weekend. But next weekend you should really come, I can even get you in free your first time!
As for a knitting GTG, I say lets do it!! Although I only know how to crochet.
