Do you walk with confidence?

I was sitting a light downtown this morning people watching and I started to notice how many women, especially younger women, were walking like they were uncomfortable in their own skin, very wary and aprehensive. Walking along as though they didn't want anyone to notice them, it was uncomfortable to watch.

I would like to think that, when I walk down the street, people who see me assume that I am a confident, secure person. But I hadn't given it much thought until this morning. From now on I vow to walk with shoulders back and head held high!

Re: Do you walk with confidence?

  • I don't know. I doubt it. I generally walk pretty upright, I think, but I have a hard time looking at people when I pass them. I usually look down when I see someone on the street.

  • I think it depends on my mood. If I am having a crappy day I probably  just keep my head down but if I am having a good day then I walk with my head up and shoulders back.
  • I've always had a confident walk.  Especially in a killer pair of heels!
I used to "own" the halls in my high school...haha!

It does say a lot about a person though!

  • I try to most of the time! Sometimes I just am in a grumpy mood though and odn't want to smile at anyone.

Haha, I've used this term too!!! Strut your stuff sistah!

  • I think it depends on my mood, and also how I feel in my clothes. If I'm wearing something I'm uncomfortable in then I would bet good money that I don't, because I don't feel good in it. If on the other hand it's something I'm comfortable in, and know I look good, then I would say yes.
