We have some crazy Germans staying with us for a couple days, and on Friday night they want to go to dinner somewhere "fun with good drinks." We will be in the Newport area. I know there have got to be quite a few good options, but I'm a homebody and need some help. So, help a sister out?

Then I would go with the Cannery if you are looking for drinks/food/scene
I also like a little sushi place called Buddha's favorite. It's right down the dock near Bluewater... right in the same area as the Cannery. Good mellow vibe.
