F/U to Dr. Issue

I was speaking to a co-worker and I was explaining to her what happened. She was also appalled buy my ?Dr.? then a few more women joined in the conversation and one of them had her daughter 17 years ago and even then she had her first U/S at 13 weeks (it was her Birthday so she remembers it well). At first I thought it was my hormones going into overdrive and that this wasn?t a big-a-deal as I thought, but they also confirmed that he is just crazy.

Anyways, one of them goes to a walk-in clinic but it treated like a patient, this Dr. scheduled all her appointments IPS and all! He also refers his ?people? to the same hospital I?m going to go to.

She gave me his number and I called in earlier, I?m going to see them next week!

I?m so thankful for this; stupid Dr. was stressing me out un-necessarily!

Thank you to all who responded, I now know that I wasn?t overreacting and that the Dr. was out of line.

Don?t worry www.ratemd.com will hear from me!

I'm still kinad iffy about a walk-in but at this point I don't want to stress about it - if they can help me and they do their job I'm happy, right?

Again thank you!

Re: F/U to Dr. Issue

  • I am so glad to hear that you've found somewhere to go.  My Dr works in a clinic that also does walk-in, and I know she would take very good care of a pg woman (as would all the Drs at the clinic...I've seen them all).  You should see if you can place a complaint with the college of physicians too....I think that's pretty professionally neglectful.
  • That's great news.
  • It will only be 1 or 2 appts with a walk in at most.  They won't be doing anything, erm, intimate.  Then you'll be at the OB in no time.
