anyone live/know about this area of Ft. Worth

way south...my best description is one exit south of Risinger (maybe the exit is GArden Acres??).  I know if you are going south and take that exit, The Parks at deer creek is to the west (right), but Im curious about the area to the east.  Take that exit (southbound) and go left.

Random yes, but I thought I would ask!

Re: anyone live/know about this area of Ft. Worth

  • That is right outside of Burleson right? Don't know much about it, except that my DH designed that neighborhood (parks at deer creek)
  • Hmmm .... all i know is that it's close to ME! :)
  • Ah it is!!  And thats a bonus, right?  Oh wait, or a threat??? YIKES!
  • :delurking:

We live on the east side of Garden Acres.  Meagan (on the board) found the neighborhood we live in and we love it.  It is very quiet and everyone in our neigborhood is very nice.  We have several homes for sale-most have never been lived in.

The only cons I can think of are: it is somewhat of a pain to go to the grocery store-since there is not one very close.  I often go to the Kroger off of 1187.  The other con can be Love's (the gas station/truck stop).  The trucks sometimes get backed up going into the truck stop and that backs Garden Acres up.  I do have to say that it has gotten much better since Love's increased their truck parking lot.

We sometimes get random animals (cows) roaming our street but we think it is funny and our daughters love to see them.

  • a complete BONUS - duh! ;)
  • I didn't even know there was a neighborhood on that side! Is it technically Fort Worth there?

I live off the next exit - 1197/Rendon Crowley - but all I know that is at the Garden Acres exit is the truck stop and Taco Bell, LOL

Mcpherson.  Most of our neighborhood is older but we live in the new part (our house was built in 2007). We have one house on our street for sale (built in 2009, never lived in, 3 bd/2bth).  The smaller model home is for sale (3 bd/2 bth).  There is a 4 bd/2bth built in '09 that has never been lived in caddy-corner from the model that is for sale.  Then there are two houses (both that have been lived in) for sale.  One is a 3 bd/2 bth (about 1300 sq ft) and the other is a 4bd/2 bth.  The 4 bedroom is in great shape and the people who live in it now have taken GREAT care of it.  They added a large back patio and a beautiful storage unit in the backyard.  They built the storage unit and it is a very rich (in color) wood unit.

I will send you a PM shortly with the exact area we live in.

Yeah.  Where we live is Fort Worth city limits but Burleson schools.  Other parts are both Burleson city limits and schools.  Then there is a part that is Fort Worth city limits and Everman schools.

You have a PM.  emailBig Smile

  • We almost built over there but decided againt it, we live down in Burleson off of Alsbury in Johnson County. We decided againt it because of the location and not close to the grocery store, etc.
  • Feel free to email me if you have some questions! I have sold several homes down there.... meagan.lewis@coldwellbanker.com?
  • As a former Burleson ISD teacher, I'd be really wary of the neighborhood if it is zoned to Everman ISD.  If it Burleson ISD, I'm pretty sure that neighborhood is zoned to Ann Brock at Oak Grove Elementary......great principal but high level of economically disadvantaged kids (at least high for Burleson).
