I'm going to kill my sister
She has been filing for bankruptcy for at least 2 years now. She can't get her shiot together and is procrastinating on everything. Supposedly she has it all in order and sent it off to the lawyers for finalization.
Well, collectors call our house once in awhile and I just say that I haven't had contact with her. I once mistakenly said that I thought you can't call someone once they file to petition for bankruptcy. That did not end well because they are like, how are you supposed to know that. Anyway, they just called my in-laws house looking for her. My MIL, is not the best when it comes to financial stability. I would like to avoid explaining the situation to her at all possible costs. The woman told MIL that my sister used her as a reference. Complete BS, my sister doesn't even know their home phone number. Luckily, MIL gave them DH's cell who then gave them mine.
I am sick of covering for her. I'm going to give them my parent's # (where she lives) or her cell phone. I wish I didn't have to give them my parent's number since she is never at home when they would call. However, she barely has her cell on or answers it if she doesn't know the number and I'm afraid, they'll start calling MIL again.

Once the lawyers have filed the bankruptcy they will stop calling. Takes the lawyers a while to get everything together to do it, but they will stop.
