So, about this bio thing?

At the urging of the masses (ok one or two of you Stick out tongue ), I have decided to do a bio of the new home with before, during and after pics. Anyone use google sites to create their bio? That is what I want to use (ahem, since I only have access to them and not weebly or the nest bio feature etc.)

So I started yesterday but have no idea how to include pics! I see there is an attachment feature, but I want to like write a little bit and then post pics below and so on and so forth. Anyone care to do a little tutorial for me or at least point me in the right direction?

it might be easier to do a blog (blogger.com, wordpress, etc... all have user friendly design options)?

one of the RI nesties has a nice remodel blog and just posts the link in her siggy. i haven't touched my bio in at least a year b/c it was just a pain to keep up with. ?

check out my bio (see link in siggy) i created it though the google one. it did take me awhile to figure it out - you have to upload the images either to your picasa albums or just directly to the google site (see browse/upload).

Cheeky, the blog is a cool idea but to be honest, I doubt that I would be able to maintain a blog. A bio seems less "alive" to me and for now, that's what I think I would feel comfi with. But I am not sure. I have seen a few reno blogs and they were awesome for real...I need to ponder on this a bit more.

Liza, I can't see an upload feature on my google sites. I can see an attachment link below where I can type, which allows an upload, is that it?

Hey chica...I've always liked the bio builder I use (link at the bottom of my bio). It's by STL.com or something like that. It's pretty self explanatory, but if you need any help, just let me know and I'll be sure to.

So on my google sites page - up towards the top there are some buttons - Insert, Format, Table, Layout. If you go to Insert > Image. you should be able to upload there.
