She can wait till I'M ready, and my mom AND my dad have seen the baby! I am having some serious MIL issues right now!
I told DH, that if she can't keep her mouth SHUT about the C/S date, then we won't tell her! TOO BAD! The funny thing is my mom is geting all wierd and "pushy" lately too! (war of the grandmas!!!! LOL!!!)
My mom asked me "besides DH.... do you want anyone in the delivery room with you?....."......UM.... I'M HAVING FRECKIN SERGURY LADY!!! It's an OR!!!! NO!
The only person I want in there besides DH is YOU! (Val) to take pictures, because I won't be able to see anything or remember anything. My mom was like "when I had YOU" and I interupted her "you delivered vaginally" and she paused (all pissy) "WHEN I HAD YOU, I got to see them clean you up and cut the cord and weigh you while they stitched my epis."
"YOU DELIVERED VAGINALLY!!!! I'M HAVING SERGURY!!!!" UGH!!

Another thing.... DH TOTALLY agrees with me! He says that this is our baby and our rules and if someone doesn't like it, TOUGH!

more MIL issues? Please share : ) I don't know who she really has to tell about the C/S besides grandma. They apparently knew the date too. When she told me she doesn't worry, I laughed (out loud). Boy she sure didn't like that. I told her she worries about EVERYTHING. I was taking in the empty trash cans a few days ago and she told me I shouldn't be doing that "because of the baby" and "how big I was"....uuuhhhhhh.
Wait, I can be in the OR?!?!! Really? Check w/Kaiser and let me know. Also, I need the date/time so I can get the time off work : )
omg your mom is funny. She is being passive-aggressive, LOVE it.
I only ask bec i know most (if not all) only let Dad OR a 1 support person in the OR and you don't really get the chance to get those first moment of life pictures....unfortunately.

I figure ANY pictures of the baby, the first family photo, all that stuff is better than my view from "behind the iron curtain" LOL!!! Strapped down and covered up.... kinda doesn't allow for great memories : (
At least Val can get some shots of the NICU nurses cleaning the baby up, weights, cord cutting w/ DH, ANYTING! LOL!! More that I will see. : )

Yeah.... the moms are getting on my nerves.
I am going to ask my OB, and play every card I have, and yeah... if they say NO.. then whatever.
My dad said that they told him "no videos" when my little sis #1 was born, because he asked. Then when little sis #2 was born, he forgot and just got out the camera and nobody said anything (Kaiser Riverside).
And MIL... she hasn't done/said anything TO me, because I have been avoiding her and her calls since that last weekend.... UGH! And I plan to KEEP avoiding her and her calls. Espically around my C/S date, she can go through DH, I have my own mother to deal with and my dad and little sisters(who are apparently unaware that they can't come to the hospital.... and I'm not going to be the one to tell them.... sorry Dad! Your job

Number of reasons;
- the inlaws
- the heat/ lack of functioning A/C
- the wierdos
- the food
- the illegal fireworks (since they are all illegal now), don't want to be around/near them
- my dogs, packing them up and sedating them.... ugh
I think I will stay home in my pool, and my A/C!
Yeah.... A&C are going to be CRUSHED! Espically since it will be a C/S and they will know WHEN the baby is born, and I will be there a few days recovering
but I can't worry about them too much, I have enough to worry about.

I think it's going to be quiet this year. No "weirdos". I know MIL said the fireworks were illegal, but she was misinformed. I looked it up today on the SB county fire website. They're still okay.
