Showing

So I spent all of Saturday with my family at the cottage. I have seen some aunts in 3 weeks so they all talked about how much I?m showing. I?m only 10 weeks! *** Ok it?s not HUGE but you can for sure tell that something is there ***

I must admit that I have been wearing mat. Pants (thanks to my aunt and friends I had passed down 3 boxes or mat. Clothes in Many sizes) my normal pants and jeans ? I can put them on [yes they pass my bum and thighs] but I can?t button them, there is about a 2-3 inch gap! I used to wear my pants very fitted before so it?s hard now.

When I last went to the Dr. the nurse weighed me and says that since I first came in at 5 weeks I?ve gained a total 4 lbs (1.8 kg) I think that?s the normal rate?weird, huh?

I was expecting to show at 4-5 months, since I?m not muscular or toned in any way

Oh and it?s not constipation?LOL

Re: Showing

  • Yeah, I had trouble closing my pants quite early as well.  At least you haven't had to buy new pants yet, gotta love hand-me-downs!
  • I gained weight immediately, and what you're talking about is the famous first trimester "bloat".

It will go down, and then you will really "show"

At this point, your baby is an olive, so you're really not "showing" but you are retaining a lot of fluid, so it looks like you're showing, know what I mean?

  • I loved my baby bump.  Yeah to showing!!
  • I'm right there with ya!  I figure whether it's bloat, or baby, it's still a bump where a bump will be....and my pants don't fit =)  I only have 3 days left of school (woohoo) and then I'll be living in my yoga pants.

I started 'showing' early with Ruari, and it never went away...just got bigger =)

  • cute story :) yay for hand me downs!
  • I had the first trimester bloat but did not actually start showing till almost 5 months.
