Ugh.. I got a new ipod nano after mine got stolen from my car about 6 months ago with an adapter for the car. Particularly, this one: http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/itrip-auto-universal-plus and I can't seem to find a station that doesn't have background fuzz! It's only a little bit, but it still drives me bonkers. Did I just get a sh!tty one or is this a common issue? Any trips? Particular transmitters you adore? I had a Belkin a long time ago which rocked, but it was twice the prices of the Griffin I now have. This one also plugs into the headphone jack instead of the usb port thingie. Think this is the issue? Ahhhhhhhhh! HELP!
Re: Ipod in the car listeners!
Do you have an AUX plug in or tape deck? H uses the AUX plug in. No static. I use a tape that plugs into my ipod cause my car is old skool like that. So 2003
But it works no static!
I have the Belkin one. I used to have a Griffin brand but it didn't work as well. I use stations in the 80's range.
I think having Sirius in my car helps A LOT. When I turn my sirius transmitter off while my ipod is plugged into the am/fm transmitter, I get a lot more static.
I don't use one anymore since my car has the plug in but when I did try to use one, I had an itrip by Griffin and it sucked.
Few things work better than a tape deck connector.
If you are lucky enough to have a tape deck, I recommend that.
We live in too populated an area for there not to be static with all the other methods.
