What day do you have off? I find that it is all over the map this year as to what day people are taking off to celebrate.
We get the 1st off. Which I kind of like...it will split the work week up nicely
Re: Canada Day
I too get the 1st off - but most of my family members had it switched to the Friday (3rd).
It's nice because you do get a long weekend but then you don't really celebrate Canada Day!?
I know it's bad-canaidan-spirit but I would have liked the Friday
Have a real long weekend would be nice but I wonder if it would feel weird actually working on the 1st? I wonder when most cities will do their fireworks?
I get all of July off (hehe mat leave) and so does Mike! Yay for being teachers!
{shudder}
I remember many days in the office when the university was officially closed.
Jealous!!
We get the Wednesday too which I wasn't impressed with, so I took the Thurs/Friday to make a 5 day weekend. I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty freaking excited about it
On other years when it falls on a Tues or Thurs we typically get the additional day to make it a 4 day weekend which is pretty sweet. Years when it's on a Wednesday are just particularly sucky. Except for me, and my awesome 5 day weekend.
I have the Wednesday off, DH has Friday the 3rd off... so I'm taking the 3rd off too (woohoo) and we're going camping that weekend.
I'm self-employed so I chose what day I wanted off. I opted for the 1st because it worked better with my schedule.
The office that I worked with just decided to take the 1st off too, so it works out nicely.
