Help. traveling to NY!

We are going to New York in 3 weeks with some friends.  We are going to stay in the city for two days and then for the next 5 days stay with some friends right outside of the city.

Well, my friends are trying to decide if we should stay at a hotal at central park or times square.  There will be 4 kids with us.  I have never been to NY and clueless.  Can you give me some insight? Also are they walking distince??  sorry clueless

Re: Help. traveling to NY!

  • if you stay at the wellington on 7th avenue you'll have a view of times square and be able to walk to the park (5 blocks to the north)?

  • In my opinion, the best places to say with easy access to the major sites (times square, central park, 5th ave, etc.) are all around the same area.  And they give you great value/price, safety and service.

These are all close to Times Square and Central Park.  These hotels are also close to FAO Schwartz, Rockefeller Center and all the 5th Avenue Shops.

    Sheraton NY Hotel & Towers 7th Ave & 53rd

    Sheraton Manhattan Times Square 7th & 51st

    Hilton 6th (Avenue of the America's) & 53rd

    Wellington Hotel 7th & 57th

    Central Park NY 7th & 56th
