I posted below that I'm helping some friends move this weekend and I was thinking of giving them a housewarming gift. Instead of that, I think I'm going to put together a little moving survival kit for them. Just a few things that they might wish they had handy during the move and for the first day or so. So far I've got toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, paper cups, plastic utensils, trash bags, sponges, dish soap, hand soap, all purpose cleaner, rags, a bucket, scissors, duct tape, light bulbs, and bandaids. I don't know what they already have or what they will have thought to have handy so I'm trying to stick to stuff that you can never have too much of. Is there anything else that anyone can think of that they're glad they had on hand or wished they had on hand when they moved? Thanks Ladies!!
Re: Has anybody moved recently?
maybe some bottled water?
This is totally random and maybe they won't need it depending on what type of shower they have, but a shower curtain. I remember when we first moved in, after everyone left, we ran to Target to pick up the essentials. We got back home, unpacked a little more, and then decided to shower after unpacking in 90 degree weather (we moved in August) only to discover that we had no shower curtain. Ugh. We ended up making another trip to Target that night.
I'll try to think of other things.
You could always check online for the menus! I know a lot of restaurants put 'em online now.
We moved 2 months ago, and you've hit the nail on the head. I Love Love LOVED having Clorox anywhere Hard Surface and my Swiffer handheld duster as well.
