My husband is harder on phones than I am on vacuums

if that's possible.

He's broken so many phones over the last few years, it drives me crazy. So when he was finally free of his Rogers contract and we switched to Bell he wanted to get a Blackberry. I didn't think this was a good idea because I know how he is with phones but he swore to take care of it.

I managed to keep my mouth shut when he cracked the screen within the first month. But I was just talking to him on his cell phone just now and it kept breaking up, even though he had full service. Finally he says "I better go and turn the phone off, the screen is doing weird things like it's shorting out." Why, I asked. Oh. Because he dropped it in the lake yesterday when he was fishing.

He's had the phone less than three months and it looks like it's breaking already! He's so not replacing this one with another Blackberry- they're crazy expensive when you're not getting them for free at the start of a new contract. Even cheap-o phones are what, $150?

Re: My husband is harder on phones than I am on vacuums

  • glad I'm not the only one with this problem!

My parents just switched to pay as you go and had their old phone which is what my husband is currently using after his latest phone lasted less than a week (cracked the screen after carrying a car engine up 2 flights of stairs balancing said engine right on top of his pocket where the phone was...)

I have no advice for ya, but plenty of sympathy!

  • DH was working construction (on the roof of a condo) with his phone in his tool belt, when it slipped out, fell down 6 stories and landed in a huge mud puddle. It was beyond toast. I feel your pain!
  • You should get him 2 tin cans and some string Stick out tongue

    LOL

I know what you mean though about DHs being hard on expensive things. Mike has ruined 2 outdoor grills. I refuse to buy a BBQ unless he can sign an agreement that he'll take care of it.
