This HAS to be the longest week EVER. I'm exhausted from having to deal with our 4 interns all day yesterday. I felt like I was babysitting. I had to constantly make sure I had all of them, that none of them had wandered off. And I had to keep them entertained. Ugh.
What's everyone doing this weekend?
I haven't decided if I'm working tomorrow or not. I have 2 papers to write for class and they're not even close to being done. Saturday we're going to my cousin's graduation party. Sunday is probably just errands and whatnot. Maybe we'll finally cut the trim for the wood floors.
Re: Good Morning
It's been a long week for me, too... But, today a bunch of my co-workers and I are heading to the outside tables at Table 31 for lunch. Yay nice weather!
Since my bday is Monday, we will be doing the celebrating over the weekend - dinner out Sat. night... probably James on 8th St., then to my H's uncle's restaurant in Glassboro for drinks, Sunday we may go down to my parent's boat in Somer's Point, and then dinner afterwards. I'm also taking Mon. off from work since Fri. is my normal day off, but it's our Holiday instead. Yay 4-day weekend!
Yesterday was the longest day ever, hopefully today and tomorrow go faster.
This weekend I am going home to NJ to hang out with the family. I'm excited.
Today is already slow...not a good sign! I am really excited for the weekend!
I am going down to MD for my friend's bachelorette party. We are doing "bar golf" where you get a scorecard with the name of each bar. You are scored at each bar for what type of drink you get and the # of sips you drink it in in relation to the par listed on your scorecard. Not sure how much we will actually follow the game, but we are all dressing up in cute, preppy golf outfits!
From MD, I have to head to the Poconos for a work conference Sun-Tues. Eek!
Good morning! I've only been awake a few hours and already today is dragging...not a good sign.
Hopefully this weekend Briley will take the kids over to my parents' house to go swimming and I can get the living & dining rooms painted since the dining room wall is FINALLY finished.
Krista - that sounds like a lot of fun!
Krista, where in MD?? That does sound fun!
I have to take my car in for service tomorrow or early Saturday, probably look at cars for the H since his died (I hate car shopping!), then a wedding Saturday night. Sunday we're heading to MD to be with MIL the day before her surgery. H will stay down through Tuesday and I'll just be working Monday.
ooo kapow--it looks like we will be in MD at the same time! We are staying overnight at the Sheraton in the inner harbor and going out in Canton. I went to Towson, so this group of friends is all my college friends!
I love MD and have been trying to convince my H to move there after we leave SJ. I don't think he is too keen on the idea since it is the opposite direction of both our families, but I just fell in love with the Baltimore area while I was in college!
That's fun! If you guys do lunch on Sunday, there's a tapas place called La Tasca right on the inner harbor that has half-price sangria pitchers on Sundays. Mmmmmm.
Pat and I have discussed the same thing about moving there. It's literally the only other place I'd live outside of the Philly area, and I love it so much, especially Baltimore and Annapolis. But we're in the opposite situation as you since his family is down there.
Well right now he is going to have an office here in NJ and have to spend 1-2 days down in DC a week. So the company he works for is going to see how this works. He needs a lot of face time for where in DC he has to work. So if telecommuting and going down once or twice a week works, we won't be moving. If his company decides that he needs to be there more often and quicker then they will relocate us.
On the bright side the company he works for will essentially buy our house and pay all moving fees if they do a "force" relocation.
I agree, this does feel like a long week but I think it's because I only had to work Monday for a few hours and tomorrow I have two IEP meetings to go to and that's it. I love being a teacher.
We're headed to NWW for our vacation this weekend. I'm staying the whole 2 weeks but DH has to come back a few days to work. It's silly though because he works from home so I keep telling him he should find a wi-fi place and just stay down the shore the whole time.
That's pretty exciting, Lily! Would you be ok with moving there??
