  I just can't believe that this is *news*! They were reading the transcripts of his emails to his mistress on Pix 11 Morning News! It makes me sick!!

  It's like the last two years, illicit sexual affairs were the main impetus for the downfall of politicians. What I don't get is, why don't they learn from the mistakes of the peers? I mean I would have already ended any extra-marital relationship that hasn't been yet brought to light, if I were some politician. But they must think that they'll never get caught?!?!

  At first it was hard for me to believe that all these "moral Republicans" who preach "family values" are having these affairs and embarrassing their own families. But now I realize that almost every politician, no matter what their party affiliation, is probably drawn to politics because politics tends to be a good fit for narcissistic people. These people don't think they'll ever get caught and they enjoy doing all of this stuff and think they can do so without consequence...until they get caught. I hope DH never, ever becomes a politician LOL.

  These men politicians are definitely narcissitc and are driven by their "Ids," for any shrink buffs! It's almost as if they get off on trying to get away with the unthinkable, to discover how far their political power will tarry them, only to realize the risk wasn't worth their careers--or their families.

  I was just elated that his wife was not by his side during his announcement! It's about time one of them stands alone to face the repercussions of their sordid actions. But, although they have separated, his wife hopes to work out their 20-plus marriage. He's got some work to do!

  I hope she walks away a better woman.  I just think about those poor kids who have a total shithead for a dad, abandoning the family to play out this affair.
