  • I still can't believe it.  I heard first on the radio that he was rushed to the hospital and then as soon as I turned on the news at home, I couldn't believe that he had died.

  • What a day it has been!  I was just telling my mom that these things happen in threes....Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and now Michael Jackson.  Michael Jackson is definitely a shock though.
  • I nearly chocked on my water.  I was a bit shocked by Farrah's death...knew it was coming but still a shock.  Ed McMahon's kind of blew me away as well.  I guess people are kidding when they say things happen in three's.

  • I'm shocked as well . . also a little sad.  At lunch with coworkers I was just saying about it coming in threes.
  • I feel kind of bad for Farrah Fawcett, or at least her family. Her death is being completely overshadowed by Michael Jackson's. Then again, maybe they'll be glad for that. I'm sure the last thing they want is a ton of publicity while they're trying to mourn.

  • Very sad day indeed!  I am SHOCKED about Michael Jackson.  I couldn't believe it when I heard.  : (
  • Sad! I found myself reflecting on MJ's life in the spotlight and realized that I am more sad that he never had a chance to have a comeback. His appearance and behavior in the last decade or so has been so bizarre. The MJ I "knew" and loved died a long time ago. I had always hoped he would turn "normal" again before his death.

  • I only heard about this last night around 9 when I got home.  My laptop fried its hard drive so I wasn't online yesterday afternoon because I was trying to figure out what was wrong.

When I got home and saw "The Life & Death of Michael Jackson" on tv I was completely stunned.  It's such a shame that the later part of his life has been so controversial.  He was a very talented musician.

I can see your point about it possibly being a blessing to her family with keeping the media focused on MJ instead of her.

I just hope she wasn't in pain when she died...her cancer battle was so sad.  I work with a Hospice agency and it always makes me sad to see people suffer like that at the end of their life...when it doesn't have to be that way.
