My 4.5 month old laptop is fried
After my spending hours trying to restore it and my dad trying we called Sony tech support last night and apparently they think either the hard drive is toast or it had a major software malfunction
Oh and since there aren't any Sony authorized repair centers within 75 miles of here they are sending a tech to my house to repair it but that might be for another week.

TTC since Jan 07. Dx with PCOS Jan 08
I've only done that a few times. I almost always sat with a wooden board (it's actually a typewriter board from my old desk) underneath it and the board on my lap or I sat at our table. Now I just have to wait for the call from the tech to set up the repair date.
That's I feel Charlene...I still have a Dell desktop but its in our basement which is a disaster area right now. I might try the laptop that DH uses but its slow as dirt (it was my very first laptop back 8 years ago!).
There was an automated message on my cell phone earlier today that the part is being shipped to their rep and should be in on Tuesday and that I should be receiving a call before Noon that day to scheduled the repair visit. Thank god for warranties!
