Today became VERY eventful....
well, my coworkers found her outside in this 100 degree weather =(
She is a puppy... very small. She is VERY underweight too. She
constantly wants to be held. If she is put down she will scream and paw
to get back in your arms. She started to get better the longer I was
with her with separation.
She has a lot of hair loss (on face, legs, chest),
and was covered in crusty stuff around her eyes and in her wrinkles.
The top of her head has red bumps, some were a little bloody. I am
afraid it is mange... but I have never seen it in person and am not
sure.David is taking her to the Emergency clinic right now... I am writing this in my weekend grad class ![]()
I took her home and gave her a bath. I had some medicated wipes I use to clean my pugs wrinkles, so i used those and was able to remove a lot of the crust and dirt but when David got home he texted me and said "pup is dirty and needs a bath!" (he didn't know I had given her a bath...she was really that dirty)I put some antibacterial ointment on the spots that were bleeding. I got her food and water and she is in a crate.
I have a friend who was looking into adopting a pug from the DFW pug rescue and has agreed to adopt this pug, but is out of town for the next month, so we will be fostering until then.
Just thought I would share.
