Katy - got any renovating updates??

Just following up on a post from a few weeks ago.  How does the renovating and grad classes go?

Enquiring minds want to know!

Re: Katy - got any renovating updates??

  • So apparently I need to get on here more often.... Stick out tongue

As far as the renovations go, we haven't started yet.  We're still waiting on our loan to go through, and it's taking FOREVER!!!  They keep telling us that they are swamped with applications, and everything is taking longer than usual.  Ugh!!  They had told us that we should be approved by this week, but now they just pushed that off to next week.  We're getting antsy, so I'm hoping we don't have to wait much longer.  We're leaving for Alaska next Thursday, so I'm hoping we get called in before then.  I'll keep you updated.

Well that bank needs to hurry up - you have places to go and stuff to do before you finish teh adoption process.

Hope you have a blast in Alska - are you cruising or seeing the sites via land.

  • We're gonna be cruising.  My mom and sister are going with us too, so I'm super excited about that.  Me and DH have been to Alaska before, but my mom and sister haven't, and I really think they're going to like it.

It's kind of funny, because my brother is living in Alaska until fire season is over, and has been there for about 3 months now.  Our original plan was to go to Alaska to visit him, but after figuring costs, it was just too expensive.  This cruise is a lot cheaper, but we're not gonna see my brother. Embarrassed  It's okay, though, because he should be coming home within the next couple of months.

  • My Aunt, Uncle and cousin just returned from an Alaskan cruise and LOVED it.  Cruises in general rock, so I'm sure you will love it, too!
  • And I meant to add, this may (hopefully) be your last child-free vacation so might as well live it up!  :-)
