How was your weekend?
Mine was pretty uneventful but nice.
Fri night; headed over to the theatre for opening night of DH's company's show. Went out for drinks afterwards.
Sat; slept till almost 11am!! Then DH made me coffee and pancakes before he headed up to NH to borrow his parent's truck. I just lazed around, took a nap, got ready and headed to the theatre again to do box office.
Sun; got up to watch my Sunday morning programs. Got ready and headed to 2 open houses in Kensington, Brooklyn. Yahoo Maps made them look a lot closer than they really were, so i decided to *walk*! Big mistake. I was a sweaty mess! The townhouse open house was awesome, but the 2 bedroom floor thru i went to didn't knock my socks off. Headed back home, ate while cooling off, took another nap, got ready to do box office again. DH drove back yesterday, but went straight to the theatre so we could drive home. It took forever!!
I really hope this short week goes by *really* fast!!

Friday: just hung out at home. DH & I have started watching Dexter on netflix. we're so addicted! hee hee. We're already a few episodes into season two.
Saturday: Park in the AM with the pups. Then cleaning up and doing stuff around the apartment. I went to the open house for a two bedroom apartment (rental) only because i just needed to satisfy my curiosity about the place. It looked amazing online - but was less than in real life. There were two bedrooms, but more like two closets!! each bedroom was like 7x9. tiny!!!! Afterwards I met a friend in the city to go check out the High Line. We get there and there is a line!!! even 10min wait - I was like there is no way i'm waiting in line to walk! lol. so we walked up the hudson river park (by the west side highway). it was just as nice - i'll just have to check out the high line one day during the week.
Sunday: sunday, lazy sunday. we really didn't do much. barely left the apartment! DH was trying to get rid of a cold/flu this weekend, so he was relaxing a lot.
We had a busy weekend, but it was fun!
Friday, my DH drove my dad to JFK (he went to London, his flight that was supposed to leave at 11:30pm did not leave until 3am due to crappy weather, ick!) Saturday, we had Sasha's swimming lessons, then went to Jersey fro my cousin's birthday party. On the way back we were stuck in traffic for good 2 and a half hours because too many people still don't have EZpass, so it was nearly impossible to get to the Holland Tunnel.
Sunday, we went sailing around Manhattan, my ILs got us tickets for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. We had such a wonderful time, it was beautiful. I got a little sunburnt, but other than that it was great! Then we stopped by Century 21 on our way back home (since my MIL was already watching Sasha). Last night, we just hung out, ate dinner out on the balcony and watched a movie.

saturday we walked from the village to the upper west side (we too skipped the highline because of the wait), did some shopping, and went to see the hangover. we also missed the rain?while we were in the theater - nice bonus!
yesterday we did laundry and other boring chores then hung out at home.
i am so not interested in being back at the office today?
I cannot believe that there's a line to walk the high line. That is ridiculous! But, I guess that people are always hungering for something new!
Got lots of exercise this weekend, yeah. Walked with Nora and the dog to the grocery store and back, good two mile walk, uphill on the way there, spent the rest of the day Saturday gardening-love it!
Yesterday took Nora to the Bronx Zoo-great day for it and lots more walking, she was so great, wanted to walk and trotted right along side me the whole time, no running off! Enjoyed and ice cream cone together and had an all around great time. Loved the baby Tamarin monkeys.
Last night DH and I watched the Devil wears Prada. I'd read the book ages ago, and enjoyed the movie A LOT more than I thought I would!
This weekend was busy but great! My best friend from HS and her girlfriend came down from Providence for the weekend to visit. On Friday night we just cleaned up our house and then went out to dinner with the girls when they arrived. After dinner we all went on a major food shopping trip to Wegmans at 11pm which was fun. Then we stayed up until 3am cooking and prepping food for our big BBQ on Saturday.
Saturday we got up early and finished cooking and cleaning off wet furniture out by the pool. It was beautiful all day long and as soon as we put all the food outside it started pouring! So we had all 20+ guests stuck inside. It was still a really good time nonetheless.
Sunday we hung out at the pool and relaxed- it was wonderful! In the evening I drove into the city to see Twelfth Night in the park. It was fantastic! I highly recommend seeing it if you can get a ticket. We were really lucky that our friend who works at the Public was able to score us some excellent seats. I got home after 1am and I am dragging today? ;(
