Re: How was your weekend?
I had a busy weeknd. Adventureland on Friday with my younger sister, her BF, and younger brother. The lines and weather were almost perfect.
Saturday we did an Independence Day celebration with a bunch of the in-law's friends.
Sunday I went to a bridal shower for a friend. It wasn't too bad. It was nice chatting with my SIL as I hadn't seen her in awhile.

My weekend was great...
Friday night we just hung around snacking and watching tv. The perfect night.
Saturday we cleaned our house during the day and then went to a cookout in the evening and hung out with friends. Our pastor who married us was also there (he is the father of our BM and another GM) so it was nice to see him in a casual setting.
Sunday was really nice. We cooked a huge dinner together, went for a walk with our dog and then watch the movie "Taken". It was a great movie and I am tempted to watch it again before I have to return it to redbox.
Ours was pretty good, we spent the majority of it with my best friend and her husband (who is DH's best friend). She has been really sick, in and out of the hospital since our wedding, so we just relaxed, watched movies and did a bunch of nothing with them. It was nice to not really go out or anything.
Yesterday we spent the day around the house cleaning, bathing all 3 dogs, and cleaning all the wedding crap out of the garage.
The weather wasn't the greatest, but we had a great weekend!
Friday I went to the spa for a coconut lime pedicure, and did a little early birthday shopping. Kailey got her first pedi, too. It was a fun day!
Saturday we went to a party at the IL's on the lake. Weather held out, and we got to catch up with a lot of people we hadn't seen in awhile.
Sunday I ran a bunch of errans in the pouring rain, and brought the girls to get new shoes. We did lunch, and came home ot relax and watch movies for the rest of the afternoon.
We had a really nice weekend. We had a date night on Friday and went to see The Hangover, which was hilarious.
On Saturday, one of DH's buddies came into town for his bachelor party. He stayed at our house. I dropped the guys off at a restaurant/bar and went to dinner with MIL. Later we met up with them just to laugh at their drunk comments.
Yesterday we had a pretty relaxing day and just stayed home, watched TV together, picked up the house a little, and napped. I went to dinner with my parents since they had flown in after being out of the country for 2 weeks.
DH's brother was married on Saturday (he was best man) so we had a pretty busy weekend of traveling, rehearsals and wedding day stuff. This had to have been the longest wedding I ever went to with the full catholic mass starting at 10 am and the reception starting soon after. I think the party ended at 8:00 or so and then carried on at the hotel. Long day for everyone. It was a little weird to go to a wedding so soon after ours. It was part nice to not do anything but attend and part sad to not be so involved.
We also made some headway on our post-home inspection house-buying negotiations. We got estimates for a new roof and will be going to her tonight with our ammended offer. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I had an AWESOME weekend!!
)
Friday night a friend and I drove to Chicago and saw NKOTB for the 3rd time! So much fun! I wanna do it again!
I spent Sat recuperating from Friday night (so tired!) and just hanging out with my hubby.
Yesterday we spent time with my parents and I went to see Transformers 2 with them. It was actually a really good sequel. Lots of action.
And the weather was perfect yesterday - finally! So overall, a really good weekend!

Glad to hear everyone had a great weekend! I did too.
Friday: I met DH on his lunch break to go to the realtor to put in an appication and security deposit for a house we want to rent.
Saturday: My mom came into town to visit and go with me to a friend's college graduation party (she's known her since she was born). The party was a lot of fun.
Sunday: We got confirmation that the house is ours!
I did some shopping with mom - picked up some rocking chairs for our new front porch and some picture frames for our wedding pictures. Mom left and after DH got off work we went ot hang out at BIL/SIL; we watched two episodes of Tru Blood.

Mine was great.
Friday was the last night of VBS and I came home to an awesome dinner cooked by DH.
Saturday I went to the gym (yay! I missed it), aggressively cleaned, and enjoyed a movie with DH.
Sunday, DH and I drove home to go to a family reunion since my aunt/uncle and driven in from Colorado. I shared my wedding pics and checked out my cousin's dress for her wedding. Can't wait to go next year!

Weekend was good. The weather was fantastic!
Friday: grilled out & finally watched "He's Just Not That Into You". DH didn't get it but loved watching Jennifer Aniston
Saturday: watched a free concert in the park and had a picnic
Sunday: DH went to play paintball, I took the dog to the beach and got a frickin sunburn! I had 30 on damn it!
Good!!
Friday we went to Applebees, came home and channel surfed with the cat.
Saturday I cleaned part of the house, went to chuch and DH stayed home and made potato soup and we watched Step Brothers. I was in bed and my mom called and I took her to the ER, she has an infection and we were there for 4 freaking hours!! There was 1 doctor on call [for a Sat night in the ER I thought that was odd] so I spent the majority of the time on Facebook updating on how things were going.
Sunday my Dad called and was like "I heard you were in the ER w/ your mom. Teresa [his bosses wife] saw it on Facebook. Emily, what the hellll is a Facebook??" So I explained it wasn't anything major and to relax. I'd gotten home at 2:30 am and didn't update it saying things were fine, oops! He is out of town with work. Crazy man. Anyways, then I paid bills, took my mom to Target for her perscription, got a DVD & cat litter and came home and made dinner. I was in bed at 9:45 pm. I feel so refreshed!

Then Sunday we bought a new light fixture (we're slowly replacing all of them, we're about halfway there). We're hoping to have our laminate wood floors installed by the end of the summer, so Sunday we also bought about half of the flooring we'll need--so excited to get that project going!
Ours was finally relaxing.
Friday after work i spent cleaning and re organizing the cabnets to fit all of the new wedding things. Finished a few thank you cards for gifts we got after the wedding. DH made homemade pasta for dinner!
Saturday we worked in the yard all day and then went to uptown with friends!
Sunday we slept in and went out on the lake!
Busy too!
Friday Sean didn't get off work until about 8 pm. Our power went out for a bit and after that is was close to bed time (we were exhausted from busy weeks).
Saturday I had to spend $318 to get my car fix : ( Sean worked a 24 shift and I had to go to a house warming party at night.
Sunday we went to a friends pool for a bit and then went to see transformers.
Sounds like everyone had a great weekend in their own way!
My mom and niece were here this weekend. Friday night, we all drove to Quaker Steak and Lube for dinner. We loved it and would drive the hour and 40 minutes again for sure!
Saturday we went to the Kutztown Folk Festival--it was nice and the food was sooooo good. We then went to eat BBQ and go mini golfing--he beat me by one point
Sunday, we all went to lunch and then checked out some furniture for the bedroom--we weren't thrilled, so the search will continue. Then we all went to Kohls and dinner and drove home.
Good!
I spent most of Saturday (after a run) sitting by the pool. It was awesome! On Sunday (after mass) we went shopping for a couch at Macy's. I think we found one and we can finally put the futon in the spare bedroom where it belongs!
Relaxing. It was our first weekend with absolutely nothing to do in ages. (Our wedding weekend, another friend/knottie's wedding the following weekend, then three weekends taken up by honeymoon, then now.)
We just enjoyed the quiet. And I swam in our pool for the first time, now that it was finally all clean and fully functioning. Bliss.
