Restaurants in Hburg/Paxton Street

hi ladies,

my family is meeting at Bass Pro next weekend (from gettysburg, lancaster and allentown) and wants to go to brunch first... can you recommend any restaurants close by? all i can think of is the applebee's...

thanks!

Re: Restaurants in Hburg/Paxton Street

  • Just past the mall they put in a Ruby Tuesday's, a mexican place, and La Piazza (looks like maybe upscale pizza or Italian).  I haven't ever been to any of them (well, RT's but not that one).  There's also a Doc Holiday's there too I think unless it went away. There's also a Leed's Bar & Grill one exit up 83 (same exit as the new Target at High Pointe Commons. I also haven't been there but I've heard really good things about it. I think it's a little nicer but not sure what their hours are.
  • There's also a chili's in the high pointe commons.  Melting Pot and Cafe Fresco are across the street from the mall, but I don't think Cafe Fresco is open on sundays.  If you wanted to go downtown, raspberries at the hilton does a good brunch, as does Mangia qui (a little further down on North Street).  I think Spice or Ceolta's may do brunch too, but you would have to call and ask.
  • The restaurants right by Bass Pro are...Applebees, Cafe Fresco, The Melting Pot, Ruby Tuesday, Fiesta Mexicano, Tuscano, Fudruckers, Issacs Deli, and La Piazza.  Nothing too exciting for brunch though.
  • I think there is a Lancaster Brewing Company nearby, I have never been there, but a guy I work with was and he said it was fantastic.

  • There's also Friendly's at High Pointe Commons too.

Doc Holiday's is no longer there . . its now where Lancaster Brewing company is.  Not sure they are open for brunch but we've eaten there and it was pretty good but on the pricey side.

  • There is an Eat N' Park on Lindle Road -not too far from the mall.  That might be more 'brunchy' than some of the other places mentioned.  You would just go out to Eisenhower Blvd. and then turn on Lindle.

  • Oh - and also a Bob Evans that is right on Eisenhower Blvd.

  • I think the Holiday Inn off Eisenhauer Blvd.(Lindle Road) does a Brunch on Sundays. I know the Mother's Days and Easter Buffets are good there.

Also, there is Eat N' Park.

If you wanted to stay close, I would definitely suggest the Holiday Inn if they still have it every Sunday.

  • Cafe Fresco is great - we eat breakfast from there at work all the time.
