Hi all - we're pretty new to this area and shopping for our first home. What is your opinion of the North Richland Hills area? or Keller?
Re: What do you think?
If I were looking at North Richland Hills I'd probably extend my search to include the part of Euless that bumps right up to North Richland Hills but feeds into Grapevine-Colleyville ISD.
I love living in Keller. It's really close to the shopping and dining in Southlake (where we spend most of our time). Schools are great. We love going to Bear Creek park that has a trail going throughout Keller.
We also liked the northern part of NRH that bumps Keller and Southlake. Good Luck!

Since you know the area, what are your thoughts on Heritage (which I isn't in Keller city limits but you have a Keller address and Keller ISD) or Marshall Ridge? Those have been the main two subdivisions we have looked into. Any other suggestions? ?
?Thanks in advance! ?
Just a word of warning:
Unless you and your DH are working very closeby, be prepared for some pretty bad traffic during your commute b/c basically any direction you go from Keller is usually horrendous during rush hours. We live in Crawford Farms (very near to Heritage) and we can't stand the traffic in this area. We're actually thinking about moving in the near future. He works in Arlington near Six Flags and he either has to leave at the crack of dawn or around 10am each morning to avoid rush hour. The main issue we have w/ this area is that they don't put in stop lights where they're needed and consequently, people are backed up in long lines all the time. We love our house, but we really wish we hadn't moved here.
This.
My sister lives in Keller and loves it.
I have friends that live in Heritage and I really like that neighborhood. There are higher ($350's) and lower ($160's) priced homes. My Dr and vet are both located in that neighborhood. Plus the schools are all very close.
Marshall Ridge, is that the one off 377? If so, it looks nice but I don't know much about it. We drive through every once in a while. I don't think they have anything under $200 so I imagine it will be considered a nicer community than Heritage. I'm not sure of the schools, Keller ISD? Northwest ISD? Both are good but Northwest ISD high school would be really far. The higher priced homes ($400+) on the hill in the trees are beautiful!
IMO if you are in the Marshall Ridge price range, I would rather have a house more central Keller with trees.
