We are moving to a different apartment in the same complex. We will have a very tight time table to get out of the old and in the new.It will be during the week the week as well. I think having movers will make this possible and easier.
Re: Rec your moving company
Wish I could help... but I haven't used a moving company in DFW yet! ?When we graduated, we moved into a furnished townhouse for rent... and my FI did all the heavy box lifting!
GL with the move!!!?
Ditto. We had 2 movers. One of them was really good. The other one was slow and honestly not strong or experienced enough to do the job. He was on the verge of dropping boxes and furniture a few times and I or my husband had to rush over to help so the item wouldn't be dropped. He let the dolly drop on our hardwood floors instead of gently setting it down, even after I said something about it. That is beside the fact that he was texting and talking on his cell phone ~30% of the time.
You might get lucky and get a couple of good guys if you use them. Key word 'lucky.'
Lynn and Gipper- That stinks! I will learn from your tales and not go with them!
Thanks Shananagins!
