My cousin just gave me word that she's moving to Newport Beach. I'm really excited to have family in-state, even more excited that she'll be in OC, but...this is cousin is my aunt's daughter. My aunt who earlier this year had my grandmother change her will as she was on her deathbed so the entire inheritance went to my aunt, instead of equally divided among siblings. She's 20, just got her associates' degree, so I'm not sure how she's able to pony up to money to move AND for a condo NB, but it sure is interesting.
Meanwhile, I think my mom wants to take my aunt to court, but apparently I got my strong-willed genes from my dad's side of the family. 2 of her siblings would rather stick their heads in the sand, and the other sibling is being wishy washy. I will be so pissed if they just let her get away with this. As I said to my mom, it's not about the money, it's about sticking up for what's right. The whole situation makes my blood boil!
End vent.
Re: Well, what a coincidence...
Wow that is awful!
That's part what I do every day for a living. It's really sad to see families go through something like that, aside from the expense of it.
That would be my worst nightmare. I'm a good hostess for about 10 days, then I want my house back.
10 days?? you are a saint. my patience (the little that I have) wears off after 3.
APK's the saint. I don't know if I could handle my mom for a month. Oy.
